Health Sciences Facility III Recognized as a Best Ultra-Urban Project
This year’s virtual celebration of the Chesapeake Stormwater Network’s Best Urban BMP in the Bay Awards, or BUBBAs, honored many outstanding projects. The CSN seeks to improve implementation of more sustainable stormwater management and environmental site design practices in each of 1300 communities and seven states in the Chesapeake Bay Watershed. For eight years the awards have recognized innovative stormwater design in a variety of categories.
Site Resources was honored to receive third place recognition in the Ultra-Urban category for Health Sciences Facility III. Congratulations to those on the SRI design team, to our project owner, the University of Maryland, Baltimore; construction manager, Barton Malow; and our design team colleagues at HOK, Design Collective, Cagley & Associates, Kim Engineering, Affiliated Engineers and WFT Engineering.
The Chesapeake Stormwater Network is a consortium of professionals, coming together to share effective practices and provide training to promote better design, while serving as a resource hub for stormwater professionals. Every other year the organization hosts the BUBBAs: the Best Urban BMP in the Bay Awards, recognizing new and innovative techniques for facing the challenges of stormwater management.
